Just Me
Lyrics by Michele Quick

A society full of tradition
A community full of plans
Ask me questions, look at me weird
Smile and think how sad
Well, I just go on livi'n
As happy as can be
That's just me
Don't assume you know me
Don't try and change my mind
Your values are yours only
Your way of life not mine
And I just go on living
As happy as can be
That's just me
All you brainwashed people
Assuming that your right
Get over it , think logically
You don't dictate my life
The assumptions never stop
I must go by your rules
Won't change my name
My way of life
You think that I'm so rude
Think logically and smart
Won't follow the crowd
That's just me
Don't assume you know me
 I am not like you
You do things like everyone else
Don't assume I do
Think Logically and smart
don't follow the crowd
Break out of the circle
Make yourself proud
You can go on living
As happy as can be
Just like me!

This is another tune originally written on an acoustic guitar. The entire song revolves around a simple open G,D, C chord progression. The guitar solo was just a Les Paul into a Marshall, pretty strait forward. I usually like to double solo's but I don't believe I did on this one

The lyric is another one of Michele's.  I think she was getting a little fed up with people continuously trying to tell her how she should live her life, everything from why she doesn't believe in the need for an engagement ring, or why she doesn't want a big fancy wedding, to why she doesn't think she needs a china cabinet to store expensive china she'll never use. you see she is not your "typical" female, and sometimes "typical" females don't understand her way of thinking, (you know, logically). I think with this lyric she's just trying to say "don't feel sorry for me I'm living my life just the way I want". Michele had originally given me a lot more lyrics for this one than I was able to use, I had to omit some to fit the tune.
