Wheel Of
Life Too much of a burden So you stuck me in here Useless and old, I guess you Don't really care How did this happen Why should this be I was once you One day you'll be Just like me too Young full of life Happy as can be Unknowingly selfish Seems you forgot about me Wheels of life keep turning Nothing can stop time Enjoy the shoes you walk in One day you'll were mine It's now your turn seems your time has come To take my place You'll see It's not much fun 'cause So foolish you are You can't even see I was once you One day you'll be Just like me too Wheels of life keep turning Nothing can stop time Enjoy the shoes you walk in One day you'll wear mine Now you're feeling guilty Once you held the key One day when I'm long gone You'll see you've become me |
The lyric came later, they were written by Michele. Michele does a lot of volunteer work in her spare time. One place she spends a lot of time is West Caldwell Cares, it's a nursing home and the lyrics were inspired through her experience with the seniors in the home. It's disheartening to see how some of these people are treated in the later years of there lives, but it's also ironic the way life seems to come around full circle and these very same people find themselves in the same situation as they grow old. |
