Paul Holly...Bass Guitar

  <Previous Page>

I started messing around with the bass at around age 14. Growing up, I was exposed to a lot of great music coming out of my older brother's stereo. Lots of Zeppelin, Floyd, Who, Sabbath , Etc.

Charlie Moose was actually one of the first guys I ever played with. When I was 15 or so, my friend Dan (unofficial president of the Quick fan club) was getting together with Charlie to jam on some Judas Priest tunes. I tagged along with my bass in hand and we cranked out Priest classics while the washers and dryers hummed along. We had no drummer but it was still a lot of fun. We recorded it on cassette and I still listen to it now and then when I need a laugh.

My first real band was Fossem Eeve. Heavy stuff. Kind of a cross between Iron Maiden and Metallica. We we're together for about 2 years or so. Played gigs. Had a blast! After some line up changes, however, the band was soon over. Though I stayed in touch with the guys, it would be a while before I played in a band again.

Then came that fateful day. At a friendly gathering at the local "Fridays", Charlie mentioned to me that he was trying to get a band together and needed a bass player. After beer number 4 or 5, I said "You got it!"

So after a long hiatus from playing, I'm jamming again! It's nice to have the old playing fingers back. So far, it's been a blast! We don't take ourselves too seriously and we have fun. We write tunes, jam, have beer breaks, and just keep things loose.

Well anyway, thanks for checking us out! Hope to see you at the next show.
